The stepped entrance to the subterranean museum takes people literally down into the underworld of undertakers from centuries past, "into the realm of the dead," museum director Helga Bock told AFP.

Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Galway Kinnell dies in Vermont - (Reuters) - Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Galway Kinnell died on Tuesday at his home in Vermont after battling leukemia, his wife said on Wednesday. His wife, Barbara Bristol, said on Wednesday that one of Kinnell's greatest honors was being named the poet laureate of Vermont in 1989, making him the successor to Robert Frost. Former Vermont governor Madeleine Kunin, who named Kinnell poet laureate, told Vermont Public Radio in August that he resembled Frost "in that he also appears accessible on the surface, yet mysterious when we probe underneath." Kinnell was born in Providence, Rhode Island, the son of a Scottish immigrant father and an Irish immigrant mother. For much of his life, Kinnell divided his time between Vermont and New York City, where he was the director of the creative writing program at New York University, according to an obituary in the New York Times. Atari's buried trash is now an Italian museum's treasure -

Atari's buried trash is now an Italian museum's treasureUnearthed with great fanfare (and its very own documentary) earlier this year, some of the long-buried collection of E.T. and other Atari game cartridges are getting their first public outing this week at the The Video Game Museum of Rome, a member tells Polygon. The VIGAMUS, The Video Game Museum of Rome, is the first museum to feature the exhibit pulled from the, some feared, radioactive dump site in Alamogordo, New Mexico. The exhibit, entitled "E.T. The Fall: Atari Buried Treasures," features items found inside the "Atari Tomb" including E.T., Asteroids, Centipede and Defender cartridges, hardware parts for the Atari VCS console, photos of the dig and a certificate of authenticity provided by the city of Alamogordo.
